On the morning of April 2, 2026, a working delegation of Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGenco3), led by Mr. Le Van Danh – President & CEO, paid conducted a working visit session to Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company to review preparations for ensuring power generation during the peak months of the 2026 dry season. The delegation also included Mr. Tran Dinh An – Deputy General DirectorVice President, along with representatives from the Corporation’s functional departments.

Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Thien Thanh Son – Director of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company, stated that the Company has proactively implemented a range of synchronized solutions to ensure safe, stable, and reliable operation of generating units, ready to meet mobilization dispatch requirements of the national power system.

From the beginning of the year to March 31, 2026, the Company generated 1.719 billion kWh, contributing to ensuring energy security. During the peak dry season months from April to July 2026, the Company is expected to generate an additional approximately 2.93 billion kWh.

Coal inventory at the plant has been maintained at a high level, at approximately 300,000 tons. According to the plan, coal demand for power generation during the dry season is estimated at around 1.46 million tons. The Company has proactively signed fuel supply contracts and established developed transportation plans to ensure sufficient coal and oil fuel for unit operation. The Company continues to strengthen operational discipline, conduct periodic emergency response drills, and enhance inspection and close monitoring of equipment conditions. Environmental protection measures are strictly implemented, alongside efforts to increase ash and slag consumption. In the first quarter of 2026, the ash and slag consumption rate reached 111.43% of the generated volume.

Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company has been coordinating with EPS Company to implement comprehensive technical solutions to enhance equipment reliability and reduce net heat rate. Key measures include Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), expanded pushing the application of CFD simulation, and calibrating optimization of boiler combustion processes to evaluate and improve blended coal firing at Vinh Tan 2 Power Plant.

In parallel, machine learning models are being further applied within the Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics System (RMS) for four feedwater pumps. Online vibration monitoring systems have been installed for turbine-generator units and feed pumps, enabling early detection of abnormalities and improving operational reliability. The two companies units are also closely coordinating to prepare for the major overhaul of Unit S1, scheduled for late 2026.

After reviewing listening reports from both companies and comments from functional departments and the Deputy General DirectorVice President in charge of Technical and Production, Mr. Le Van Danh - President & CEO of EVNGENCO3 acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive coordination between Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company and EPS Company in their coordination and preparation to ensureing readiness for power generation during the peak dry season period.

The Corporation He requested the units to continue strengthening responsibility, enhancing technical management;, and paying due attention to fire prevention and environmental protection. The units were also urged to proactively secure sufficient fuel supplies, materials, and spare equipment.

 At the same time, it is essential to reinforce operational discipline, organize effectiveenhance  inspection and supervision, quickly promptly  rectify address equipment abnormalities, and arrange appropriate manpower for operation and maintenance to ensure safe, stable, and reliable operation of all generating units in line with mobilization method dispatch requirements of NSMO.

Regarding the preparation for the major overhaul of Unit S1, the President & CEO directed both units to thoroughly review each task, work item, and milestone. All Every preparations step must be implemented carefully carried out comprehensively and close to realityin line with actual conditions to ensure safety, quality, and ahead of scheduleand timely completion of the project.

On this occasion, the EVNGENCO3 delegation also visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to employees of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company and EPS Company who are directly participating involved in plant operation and maintenance at the plant.
