In response to the Earth Hour 2026 campaign launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, subsidiaries member units of Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGenco3) have implemented a wide range of practical activities to promote economical and efficient use of energy, while raising environmental awareness among employees. These activities were carried out simultaneously across units, including such as Phu My Thermal Power Company, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company, Mong Duong Thermal Power Company, Buon Kuop Hydropower Company, and EPS Company, contributing to powerful spreading of the green living message of green living andtoward sustainable development.
One of the key activities was the “lights-off” event in response to Earth Hour from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 28, 2026. During this hour, EVNGENCO3’s units simultaneously turned off decorative lighting systems, signboards, and non-essential electrical equipment at offices and plants. Despite the blackout, all units maintained strict operational duty to ensure generating units operated safely and continuously, providing a stable electricity supply to the national power grid. Furthermore, many employees encouraged their families and relatives to turn off unnecessary electrical devices at home, extending the energy-saving message from the workplace to daily life.

Following the spirit ofIn line with Directive No. 09/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on strengthening energy conservation, the Corporation has implemented numerous plans and solutions to effectively save electricity across the entire systemthe Corporation has implemented various plans and solutions to effectively carry out electricity saving and efficient energy use across its system. By optimizing operation methods and strictly managing production processes and internal electricity consumption, EVNGENCO3 has maintained annual electricity savings while ensuring that self-consumption rates at power plants remain below the targets assigned by EVN.
Alongside the Earth Hour lights-off activity, many EVNGENCO3 units actively participated in communication programs and community movements supporting the campaign. Employees joined the online running race “All people use energy economically and efficiently in response to Earth Hour 2026” on the 84RACE platform, and took part in online contests to learn about safe, economical, and efficient electricity use. These activities have helped improve enhance awareness and promote responsible electricity consumption habits in both work and daily life.

Member units also implemented tree-planting activities to improve green, clean, and beautiful environments. At Phu My Power CenterComplex, the Youth Union of Phu My Thermal Power Company and EPS organized the plantingplanted of 1,000 trees in operation and maintenance areas. Mong Duong Thermal Power Company planted an additional 1,200 casuarina trees, 100 bougainvillea, 100 pine trees, and 82 Yen Tu apricot trees, contributing to greener plant surroundings. Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company launched a tree-planting campaign, adding nearly 200 new trees. To date, the plantits campus has more than 20,450 trees and approximately 102,500 m2square meters of lawns, covering over 23 hectares, creating a green, clean, and beautiful production environment while spreading the message of energy saving and environmental protection.
