During the 2026 Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, Power Generation Joint Stock Corporation 3 (EVNGenco3) implemented synchronized technical, management, and operational measures to ensure safe and stable operation of its power plants, meeting mobilization dispatch requirements of the national power system and serving electricity demand for both daily life and socio-economic activities nationwide.

From early January 2026, EVNGENCO3 developed detailed operation plans for each power plant, closely following load forecasts and mobilization methods of the National System and Market Operator (NSMO). Member units conducted periodic inspections and testing of all equipment to enhance unit reliability ahead of the Tet peak period.

Fuel supply preparation was identified as a key priority. The Corporation closely coordinated with coal and oil suppliers to ensure inventory levels met and exceeded required thresholds, while also preparing sufficient spare materials and equipment to promptly handle any arising situations. In addition, EVNGENCO3 arranged 24/7 duty rosters for management, operation, and maintenance staff at all power plants, strictly implementing operational discipline, operating duty sheets, work permit procedures, and occupational safety, hygiene, and fire prevention regulations.

During the Tet holiday from February 14 to February 22, 2026 (from the 27th day of the twelfth lunar month to the 6th day of the Lunar New Year), EVNGENCO3’s power plants operated safely and stably without incidents, fully meeting mobilization requirements and contributing to reliable electricity supply for people to celebrate Tet. Thermal power units maintained high availability factors, ready to respond to sudden increases in demand, while hydropower plants operated in compliance with inter-reservoir procedures, ensuring a balance between power generation and downstream water supply.

EVNGENCO3 strengthens inspection and review of equipment before and during Tet to enhance operational reliability.

On the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year, leaders and trade unions of EVNGENCO3 and its units visited, encouraged, and extended Tet greetings to employees on duty at power plants, providing motivation for them to remain committed to their tasks.

Following the holiday, EVNGENCO3 continues to focus on ensuring safe and stable operation, especially during the peak dry season months of 2026. The Corporation is strengthening control over routine maintenance and scheduled overhauls, proactively securing fuel supply, and closely coordinating with NSMO in system operation to fulfill the assigned power generation plan for 2026.

With thorough preparation and a strong sense of responsibility, EVNGENCO3 continues to affirm its role as one of the key power generation corporations, contributing to national energy security and socio-economic development.
