However, the load demand of the power system continues to be low due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hydrological conditions are favorable, so plants of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company have mobilized on the basis of water flows.
I. Situation of production, business, investment and construction in November 2021
1. Production and business operations
During the month, power plants of EVNGENCO3 have successfully satisfied the mobilization of the National Load Dispatch Centre, ensured the safe and continuous power supply. EVNGENCO3's power output in November 2021 is 2,441 billion kWh, reaching 88.75% of the plan. However, the load demand of the power system continues to be low due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hydrological conditions are favorable, so plants of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company have mobilized on the basis of water flows.
Staff and employees have strictly complied with measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic according to the local situation, assured production operations at the highest level.
In terms of the electricity market, EVNGENCO3 continues to participate and strictly comply with current regulations, prepare effective bidding plans that are consistent with the situation of the electricity market.
2. Investment and construction operations
Although the pandemic is lingering, the Corporation continues to implement and prepare investment procedures as well as carry out cooperation researches and evaluate the efficiency of new power source projects. As for the Long Son Power Center Project, the Corporation has cooperated with partners in the Group to implement the next steps to carry out the investment preparation.
3. Environmental works
The environmental protection at power plants continues to be guaranteed and controlled effectively, results of periodic monitoring of exhaust gas, wastewater, cooling water and surrounding environment are all within the allowable limits of current standards. All parameters obtained from the online environmental monitoring system at Thermal Power Plants including Mong Duong 1, Vinh Tan 2, Ninh Binh are transmitted directly to the local Department of Natural Resources and Environment and other electronic boards right at the front gate of the plant in order to guarantee continuous, transparent and stable communication.
The ash and slag management works continue to be controlled effectively. The quantity of ash and slag generated from Mong Duong 1 and Ninh Binh Thermal Power Plants is still consumed completely. At Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant, the quantity of ash and slag consumed in the month reached 98.58% of the generated quantity.
Hydropower plants monitor and regulate water downstream of reservoirs in Thuong Kon Tum, Srepok, Buon Kuop, and Buon Tua Srah to ensure safety in accordance with procedures as specified; cooperating with the local Steering Committee of Flood Prevention and Control to notify and warn local people, assuring the safety in recent storms.
II. Targets, tasks and plans in December 2021
In the context of complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, EVNGENCO3 strives to achieve the planned power output in December 2021 of 1.879 billion kWh and ensure the highest availability of plant units. On this basis, Phu My Power Plants guarantee to meet the power system’s mobilization demands and gas supply capacity; coal-fired thermal power plants are willing to generate power according to the demands of the power system; hydropower plants operate at the highest capacity according to the water flows and ensure the water supply for the downstream areas.
The Corporation continues to carry out construction and investment projects as planned and summarize digital transformation activities according to the 2021 theme. In addition, EVNGENCO3 continues to implement environmental works effectively; assuring the safety and prevention of floods and storms at hydroelectric power plants in the rainy season in 2021; performing the Corporation’s share transfer procedures (code PGV) from the UPCOM Stock Exchange to listing at the HOSE Stock Exchange as planned; concentrating in implementing comprehensively solutions for EVNGenco3 to achieve the dual-target in 2021, successfully completing all production and business tasks while still assuring the safety in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
