Accumulated in the first 10 months of 2024, EVN and its units commenced 76 projects and completed energizing and putting into operation 102 grid projects from 110kV to 500kV (08 500kV projects, 18 220kV projects, and 76 110kV projects).
Some key tasks of EVN in November 2024
EVN requires its member units to thoroughly implement the direction of General Secretary To Lam on avoiding waste in working activities, and the Government and the Prime Minister on the implementation of the important project to ensure power supply and energy security in the last months of 2024 and in 2025.
Regarding power production and supply:
- Coordinate with NSMO: Continuously closely monitor meteorological and hydrological developments, fuel situation, generator availability, and load growth to promptly update and adjust operating methods to ensure a safe and reliable operation of the power system; use effectively and ensure the water storage target by the end of 2024.
- Power generation corporations and units review all equipment, ensure sufficient fuel for power production following system demand and strictly implement technical management, and inspection and review of operation and maintenance procedures and regulations to ensure the availability and reliability of generator units.
- Hydropower plants operate reservoirs safely, optimally exploit water resources, and closely monitor and forecast hydrological situations to have early water storing plans at the end of the flood season to ensure the water storing goal by the end of 2024, serving power generation needs, ensuring power supply for the dry season of 2025.
- National Power Transmission Corporation safely and reliably operates the power grid system; prepares sufficient spare materials and equipment, reviews and effectively implements solutions to minimize transmission grid incidents.
- Power Corporations/Companies prepare power supply scenarios; continue to implement Directive No. 20 on electricity-saving propaganda and implementation.
Regarding power source construction investment: Accelerate the construction progress of key power source projects and ensure the power generating target for the Ialy Hydropower Plant Expansion project in November and December 2024, Phuoc Thai 2 & 3 Solar Power projects in the fourth quarter of 2024. Continue to coordinate with localities to implement compensation and site clearance for the projects of Tri An Hydropower Expansion and Bac Ai Pumped Storage Hydropower, ensuring that construction sites are available when conditions are met to commence at the end of 2024.
Regarding power grid construction investment: Units focus all resources, accelerate progress to energize the 500kV transmission line connecting Nhon Trach 4 Hydropower Plant, complete the Dak Ooc 220kV switching station and its connection line in November 2024; and energize the Monsoon - Thanh My 500kV transmission line in December 2024. For the national power supply project to Con Dao district: complete the contractor selection work to sign the EPC contract in November 2024 and continue to carry out compensation and site clearance to commence at the end of 2024...
To ensure electricity for economic development and people's lives in all situations, EVN desires to continue to receive the sharing and active cooperation of people and power customers through thoroughly using electricity economically, especially during peak hours at noon and in the evening. In particular, pay special attention to using air conditioning reasonably, only turning on the air conditioner when necessary, setting the temperature at 26-27 degrees Celsius or higher; at the same time, pay attention not to use many high-capacity electrical devices during peak hours.
