On May 21-22, 2024, in Vung Tau City, Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3), in collaboration with its Trade Union, successfully organized the 3rd "Excellent Safety and Hygiene Officers" Contest – 2024 and recognized outstanding electricity workers. This year's event, hosted by Ba Ria Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, was part of EVNGenco3's initiatives in response to Workers' Month and the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Hygiene, while also commemorating the 70th Anniversary of Vietnam's Electricity Industry.

The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Do Duc Hung, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.

Representing EVNGENCO3 were Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Le Van Danh, General Director; Mr. Tran Dinh An, Deputy General Director and Head of the Contest Steering Committee; and Mr. Vu Quang Sang, Chairman of the Trade Union and Head of the Contest Organizing Committee. The event also welcomed members of the Board of Directors, representatives from various departments, leaders and trade union representatives from participating units, members of the Board of Examiners, as well as 41 outstanding electricity workers, 19 outstanding Safety and Hygiene Officers, 48 competitors from 10 affiliated units, and numerous employees coming to support and cheer for the contestants.

The 3rd "Excellent Safety and Hygiene Employees" Contest of Power Generation Corporation 3 – 2024 aims to assess the effectiveness of the safety and hygiene network across units. It serves as a foundation for training, enhancing the capabilities of the safety and hygiene workforce, and promoting a culture of safe, high-quality, and efficient production.

Immediately following the Opening Ceremony, 48 competitors competed in two rounds, including a multiple-choice theoretical session, a first-aid practical session, and wound treatment. The top 10 highest-scoring contestants advanced to the second round, which featured oral problem-solving exercises. Throughout the contest, the examiners maintained professionalism and impartiality, providing valuable feedback and guidance to the contestants.

The contest was a great success, showcasing the high caliber of contestants and contributing to the Corporation's efforts in occupational safety and health. In the end, the Organizing Committee presented awards to individuals and teams with outstanding achievements, as well as to the host unit for successfully organizing the event.

Alongside this year's Excellent Safety and Hygiene Contest, Power Generation Corporation 3 held a ceremony to honor 41 Outstanding electricity workers who have made significant contributions to production and business activities, introduced innovative solutions that enhanced work efficiency, and brought benefits to the Corporation. Additionally, 19 exceptional Safety and Hygiene Officers were recognized at the Corporation level for their excellent performance in 2024.
