1. Production and business activities:
The electricity output achieved in February 2023 by the company is 2.471 billion kWh, reaching 96.21% of the monthly plan, with an average of 88.2 million kWh per day (achieving 117.48% compared to the same period in 2022). The cumulative electricity output for the first two months of 2023 is 4.616 billion kWh, reaching 14.56% of the annual plan.
During the early months of the year, the hydrological conditions have been favorable, with priority given to water discharge at the northern hydropower plants to serve the flood control in two phases of the Spring season. As a result, the thermal power plants of the company have operated at a lower capacity, while the hydroelectric power plants have been operating at a higher capacity. The power plants of EVNGenco3 have continued to ensure safe, continuous, and efficient electricity supply, effectively meeting the demand of the National Power System Operation Center without any abnormal equipment incidents.
The maintenance and repair works carried out in the month at Phu My 1 Thermal Power Plant and Buon Kuop Hydropower Plant have both ensured quality and achieved or exceeded the scheduled progress according to the plan.
In the electricity market activities, the Corporation continues to participate and strictly comply with existing regulations, effectively establishing bidding plans that are suitable for the electricity market situation and the operating conditions of power units, ensuring efficient production and business operations.
2. Environmental work
Environmental protection and management of ash and slag at power plants continue to be ensured. The entire amount of daily generated ash and slag at Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant and over 75% of the daily generated ash and slag at Vĩnh Tân 2 Thermal Power Plant have been effectively utilized.
The results of periodic monitoring of exhaust emissions, wastewater, cooling water, and the surrounding environment are all within the permissible limits of current regulations. All the parameters from the online environmental monitoring system at Thermal Power Plants: Mong Duong 1, Vinh Tan 2, Ninh Binh are directly transmitted to the local Department of Natural Resources and Environment and electronic displays placed in front of the power plant gates, ensuring continuous, consistent, and stable environmental monitoring data.
Hydropower plants are ready to ensure operational plans, regularly monitor and report the situation, and implement water regulation for flood control.
II. Objectives and tasks of the March 2023 plan.
In March 2023, the company aims to achieve the planned electricity production of 2.735 billion kWh as submitted to the Vietnam Electricity Group, while ensuring the highest availability of power generation units. At Phu My power plants, the supply of gas is guaranteed according to demand and readily responds to the system's mobilization. The thermal power plants are ready and available, producing electricity based on the system's needs. The hydropower plants optimize their operations based on water flow, ensuring the regulation of water levels.
The company will continue to implement investment construction projects according to the plan, carry out fuel supply activities for coal and gas to ensure the fuel supply for production. The company will also maintain the stability of environmental protection measures in the production area and waste disposal sites. It actively implements the tasks set out in the 2023 plan and prepares for organizing activities to commemorate the 10th anniversary of EVNGenco3's establishment.

During the month, power plants of EVNGenco3 have successfully satisfied the mobilization of the National Load Dispatch Centre, ensured the safe and continuous power supply. EVNGenco3's power output in November 2021 is 2,441 billion kWh, reaching 88.75% of the plan. However, the load demand of the power system continues to be low due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hydrological conditions are favorable, so plants of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company have mobilized on the basis of water flows.
