I. Production, business and construction investment situation in May 2020
1. Production and business operations
The power output in June 2020 of EVNGENCO 3 is 2,925 billion kWh, the accumulated output in the first 6 months of 2020 is 17,061 billion kWh, reaching 48.25% of the year plan because the power grid’s additional charges decreased sharply due to impacts of the Covid-19 epidemic.
During the first 6 months, the power plants have operated stably and reliably, satisfied the mobilization method of the National Load Dispatch Center; in which gas thermal power plants are mobilized at a medium level, and coal thermal power plants are operated at a high level, hydropower plants are also mobilized on the basis of downstream water flow.
Facing the unfavorable hydrological situation and the serious shortage of gas-fuel resources, EVNGENCO 3 has made great efforts to ensure the safe and continuous operation of plant units, ensured the electricity supply during the Lunar New Year 2020, Reunification Day on April 30th etc., and increased the electricity supply to hospitals, health stations and other isolation areas for the control and prevention of Covid-19 epidemic, especially during the social-distancing period. In particular, Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant has tried hard and applied many management and operation solutions to achieve the power output of 3,944 billion kWh, reaching 100.3% of the first six-month plan of 2020 and reaching 112.9 % compared to the same period in 2019.
Power plants of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company, Se San 3A Hydropower Plant, Se San 3A Power Investment & Development Joint Stock Company, Thac Ba Hydroelectric Joint Stock Company and Vinh Son - Song Hinh Hydropower Joint Stock Company always operate in accordance with the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedures, thereby optimizing operation procedures on the basis of downstream water flow to ensure the water supply for downstream areas.
To ensure gas-fuel resources for production, EVNGENCO 3 has also bidden and procured additional LNG fuel for Phu My 2.1 Extension Power Plant.
2. Construction investment operations
The Upper Kon Tum Hydropower Project has been speeded up as planned; the total project progress is currently about 98.4%. The Project has stored water since February 26, 2020 and on May 27th 2020, the reservoir water-level of the Upper Kon Tum Hydropower Project has reached the height of outlet sluice gates (1,136m). m), water has been discharged at the flow rate of 3.3 m3/sec as regulated.
Regarding the investment in the Long Son Power Complex Project, the Prime Minister has enacted a statement on April 23rd 2020 to complement the Long Son Power Complex Center, Phase 1 (one 1,200-1,500 MW power plant) to the Revised Power Master Plan VII. The Corporation has cooperated with parties to implement works related to the investment preparation. On May 29th 2020, the Corporation has also reported primary project situations to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
3. Social security
Coping with the COVID-19 epidemic, EVNGENCO 3 has donated and supported communities in different ways, such as the donation of 02 tons of rice to the “free rice ATM” program in Dak Lak Province, a negative pressure isolation room, 100 sets medical protective clothing and 30 safety glasses for Binh Thuan General Hospital.
The Corporation has also donated 90 water tanks in Dam Doi District, Ca Mau Province and funding for the construction of water tank and water supply systems at 05 schools in Tran Van Thoi District, Ca Mau Province to support students and strengthen the sanitation situation as well as improve living and learning conditions of local people.
4. Environmental works
The environmental protection in power plants continues to be assured and controlled effectively, the concentration of emission parameters (emissions, wastewater, cooling water and surrounding environment) is within the permissible limits according to current regulations. The online environmental monitoring system and data and image transmission systems to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant and Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant operate continuously and smoothly.
The ash and slag management is under the control. The quantity of ash and slag used by Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant in June 2020 reached over 50%, the highest rate in the first 6 months of 2020. All the ash and slag quantity of Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant are used completely.
3. Administration works
In addition to production, business and construction environment works, in the first 6 months of 2020, EVNGENCO 3 has successfully organized the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on January 15th, the 7th Party Congress on June 12th, the Conference of Employees Delegates on June 23rd and Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2020 on June 24th.
II. Objectives and tasks for the last 6 months of 2020
It is expected that the Corporation's power output in the last 6 months of 2020 is 17,375 billion kWh, of which the Corporation's power production plan in July 2020 is 3,078 billion kWh. Thermal power plants are operated according to demands of the power grid, and hydropower plants are also managed optimally based on the downstream water flow.
Aiming to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Vietnam Electricity Traditional Day (21 December 1954 – 21 December 2020), Phu My Thermal Power Company has launched an emulation movement to achieve the power output of 300 billion kWh in October 2020.
Regarding the construction and investment, the Corporation continues to promote the construction of work items at Upper Kon Tum Hydropower Project as planned and it is expected to operate the power generation in September 2020 and coordinate with other partners to implement the investment preparation of the Long Son Power Complex Project.
The use of ash and slag at coal-fired and thermal power plants is continued to be promoted to guarantee the surrounding environment of the Plant; and online signage systems are promoted to inform environmental parameters of thermal power plants to communities and local people.

During the month, power plants of EVNGenco3 have successfully satisfied the mobilization of the National Load Dispatch Centre, ensured the safe and continuous power supply. EVNGenco3's power output in November 2021 is 2,441 billion kWh, reaching 88.75% of the plan. However, the load demand of the power system continues to be low due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hydrological conditions are favorable, so plants of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company have mobilized on the basis of water flows.

EVNGenco3's power output in September 2021 is 2.067 billion kWh, reaching 77.73% of the plan. The accumulated output in the first 9 months of 2021 is 22.562 billion kWh, reaching 68.98% of the year plan.
