On April 29th, 2021, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the EPS Company (directly under the Trade Union of the Power Generation Corporation 3) has coordinated with the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Phu My Ward, Phu My Town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province to handle the Youth Project named “Pick-up and Drop-off Terminal” for Vo Van Kiet Secondary School.
The Project includes 2 terminals with covered roof and benches, the area is 36m2, located in the area in front of the gate of Vo Van Kiet Secondary School with a total budget of 30 million VND sponsored by the EPS Company. The Project was constructed for 7 days, in which all material processing, construction and installation phases were implemented by the Youth Union of Phu My Mechanical and Thermal Repair Workshop and the ESP Repair, Processing and Recovery Workshop.
“Pick-up and Drop-off Terminal” Project is constructed and installed by the Youth Union members
School shared that the school has more than 1,000 pupils and located near to the road. Although the school always reminds pupils to stay and wait for their parents at the school area, it is still hard to avoid the situation that after school they would play and stand incorrectly at the sidewalk or parents wait for their children at the road-bed; therefore there are potential risks of traffic unsafety. “This meaningful Project not only creates beautiful landscapes in front of the school gate but also strengthens the safety for pupils; especially on rainy days or sunny noon after school. All pupils and parents are very happy” said Mr. Cuong.
Risks are minimized thanks to the Project
The Youth Project named “Pick-up and Drop-off Terminal” for Vo Van Kiet Secondary School sponsored by EPS Company is the 4th terminal that was installed and built under the movement of the Phu My Ward’s Trade Union. This is a practical activity to celebrate the 46th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30th, 1975 - April 30th, 2021). The Project also expresses the care and interest of EPS Company in local educational support and the enthusiastic spirit of the Trade Union members of the EPS Company in youth projects according to the motto of the “Using skills to serve the community” movement launched by EVNGENCO 3’s Youth Union.
