Recently at Area 8, Mong Duong Ward, Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province, Mong Duong Thermal Power Company has launched the “2022 Tree Planting Festival in gratitude of Uncle Ho” on the occasion of the Year of Tiger 2022. Participants of the Festival included Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Company, and other leaders of Departments, Workshops, Trade Union, Youth Union and employees of the Company.

Recently at Area 8, Mong Duong Ward, Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province, Mong Duong Thermal Power Company has launched the “2022 Tree Planting Festival in gratitude of Uncle Ho” on the occasion of the Year of Tiger 2022. Participants of the Festival included Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Company, and other leaders of Departments, Workshops, Trade Union, Youth Union and employees of the Company.
Based on Ho Chi Minh’s teachings “For the sake of 10 years' benefit, we must plant trees; for the sake of 100 years' benefit, we must cultivate people”, Mong Duong Thermal Power Company always pays great attention to planting trees and improving landscapes, living and working environment surrounding the plant and living areas. This is considered as an important work, associated with the comprehensive and sustainable development process of the Company.
Speaking at the Festival, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Deputy Director of the Company shared that the planting is just the beginning, it is necessary to regularly take care of the trees to keep them growing strongly. In addition, the Company needs to plant more new trees, which requires the general roles and responsibilities of all officers, employees and unions of the Company.
Immediately after the Launching Ceremony, leaders and employees of Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant have enthusiastically planted more than 870 new trees of all kinds such as Golden shower trees, pines, casuarina and so on right at the site of the Plant and Ho Goc Thong Water Pumping Station.
During this Festival, the Company has also propagandized intensively to all staff and employees in terms of purposes and meaning of the Tree Planting Festival, roles, great effects, long-term benefits and human values of tree planting, afforestation and protection of the living environment of each employee; especially, the environmental protection of coal-fired power plants to contribute to guarantee the Company’s sustainable development.
