EVNGENCO3 visits and encourages workers at Thac Ba Hydropower Plant after Typhoon No. 3

On September 12, 2024, Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNGENCO3, led a delegation to inspect the facilities including the factory, reservoir, and dam, and encourage employees at the Thac Ba Hydropower Joint Stock Company after the Typhoon No. 3.

The delegation assessed the main dam of the Thac Ba Hydropower Plant

Thanks to proactive efforts in flood and Typhoon response in coordination with the National Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control, as well as provincial and local authorities, the Company successfully implemented emergency response measures and regulated the reservoir following the operational and disaster prevention protocols. As a result, the factory and dam remained safe after the Typhoon.

Currently, the Thac Ba Hydropower Joint Stock Company, an affiliated unit of EVNGENCO3, is operating all three spillways. As of 4:00 p.m. on September 12, 2024, the outflow stood at 3,094 m3/s, while the water inflow to the reservoir had decreased significantly to approximately 2,152 m3/s. The reservoir’s water level was recorded at around 59.33 meters, ensuring dam safety.

To recognize and encourage the dedication of employees in maintaining stable operations in response to the Typhoon, and ensuring dam safety, the EVNGENCO3 delegation presented the company with 30 million VND.

EVNGENCO3 delegation visits and presents 30 million VND to workers engaged in repairing the camera installation pole in the downstream area of the plant.

Prior to this visit, EVNGENCO3 had also dispatched a Delegation to the plant to provide guidance and collaborate closely with the Company in mitigating the typhoon’s aftermath.
