EVNGENCO 3 completed successfully its production and business plans in 2017

In the morning of January 17th, 2017, General Electric Corporation 3 held a meeting to review the operation in 2017 and deployed the plan in 2018 at the Grand Hotel (No. 08 Dong Khoi, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). The conference had the participation of Chairman of EVN, Mr. Dang Hoang An - EVN General Director, Mr. Pham Manh Thang - Member of EVN Board, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh - EVN Deputy General Director, EVN's Board of Directors, EVNGENCO 3's Board of Directors and a large number of employees of Electricity Generating Corporation 3, representatives of leaders, employees of affiliated companies and affiliated companies of EVNGENCO 3.

EVNGENCO3 Summation Conference in 2017

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, Mr. Le Van Danh - Deputy General Director made a presentation the report on the operation of EVNGENCO 3 in 2017. According to his speech, in 2017 the output of electricity production of the Corporation was 33,165 billion kWh, achieving 101.7% of the plan. 18 SCL projects have been completed at a cost of VND 2,050 billion, reaching 91.76% because of the drastic optimization of materials and labor under the approved budget. The projects of Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plant and Vinh tan 4 MR thermal power plant also kept up with the progress of EVN requirements. The first unit of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant has been put into commercial operation since 6/12/2017 (earlier than 20 days), the second unit was installed, tested and it exceeded the plan (earlier than 3 months compared with the EPC contract). The administration has increasingly been perfect, step by step building an advanced corporate administration system. Environmental work and communication work, community relations has made progress compared to 2016.

Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Chairman of EVN Board acknowledged the efforts of all leaders, staffs and employees of EVNGENCO 3 who have successfully completed the tasks assigned in 2017 and he expected the Corporation to continue to obtain its objectives in 2018. The meeting also followed the direction of the Chairman of the Board of Members of the Corporation about the operation of the Corporation in 2018. Production and business activities must ensure the safe of operation and stabilization of the power plants managed by the units and implement the Project to improve the reliability and efficiency of coal-fired power plants. In the construction investment, it is necessary to ensure that Vinh Tan 4 power projects are deployed on time with good quality and put into stable operation.

In 2018, EVNGENCO 3's electricity output is 36,351 billion kWh, an increase of 10.7% compared to 2017 according to Decision No. 4830 / QĐ-BCT dated 27/12/2017.This electricity output is a challenge for the Corporation which continue to ensure the construction, investment and implementation of four solar projects in 2018 including Solar power project in Buon Kuop hydropower reservoirs (50 MW), Dakrong hydropower plant (50 MW), Vinh Tan solar power project (35 MW) in Binh Thuan province, Ninh Phuoc 7 solar project (200 MW) in Ninh Thuan province.

In equitization, the Corporation will hold the first public offering auction (IPO) on 9/2/2018, select strategic investors in first quarter of 2018 and expect to hold the first shareholders meeting on 27/4/2018.

Electricity Vietnam Corporation selected 2018 as the year of improving the quality of human resources. 2018 is also the year the corporation will transform into a joint stock company with changes in the nature of operations and may involve the major foreign shareholders. To promote the good traditions and strengths of the unit, the collective staff of the Corporation determined to unite over difficulties, strived to implement the task successfully in 2018 and developed power major effectively.

At the conference, EVN leaders awarded the emulation flag of the Corporation to 3 groups and awarded the certificate for 11 units and companies of the Corporation with outstanding achievements in production and business in 2017.
