Participants of the local government include Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of People's Council of Binh Thuan Province, Mr. Le Tuan Phong - Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province, and leadership’s representatives of People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province, other departments, branches, authorities of Tuy Phong District, Vinh Tan Commune.
The Vietnam Electricity Group consists of Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members’ Council, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh - Deputy General Director and representative of EVN.

Mr. Thien Thanh Son, Director of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company reported at the ceremony that currently Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company was assigned to manage and operate two plants including Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant and Vinh Tan 2 Solar Energy Plant. In addition, the Company also received many projects such as coal and oil import ports under the general infrastructure project to ensure the stable operation of plants of the Vinh Tan Power Complex. Together with other power plants of the Complex, Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant has established an appearance of the largest electricity center in the country, ensuring green, clean, quality and safe requirements, contributing to promote the local economic development and South Central Region. In particular, the construction completion and putting into operation of Administration Building of Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power is an important milestone, marking the completion of the entire Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant Project.
Along with power generation and environmental protection, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company always focuses on local social security. The Company has employed and supported the training of local employees to work in power plants of the Complex. Since the date of foundation, the Company has contributed more than 5 billion VND, sponsored the program “House of Love”, cooperated with the locality to build houses of gratitude, affectionate houses, schools, constructed rural roads, contributed to the fund “Next step to school”, and sponsored the organization of other community activities for local people of Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province and made an annual contribution of about 300 billion VND to the State Budget.

EVNGENCO 3’s leaders also shared more about the project construction process, Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant was commenced from 8th August, 2010 and put into commercial operation in the 1st quarter of 2015 with a total investment of 32,229 billion VND. Since then, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company under the Power Generation Corporation 3 has continuously made efforts and comprehensively implemented many solutions for operation optimization, improvement of operation quality, effective maintenance and repair, upgrading and innovation, equipment replacement and application of new technologies (improving the electrostatic precipitators (ESP), converting oil fuels from HFO to DO etc.) to guarantee economic and technical criteria, increase the efficiency of plant units and ensure the production environment. Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company has successfully tested and applied the burning of mixed coals between domestic coal and imported coal to increase the power generation efficiency, hence reducing the quantity of generated ash and slag, diversifying sources of fuel coals, reducing the dependency of domestic coal sources. After over 5 years of operation, the Plant has achieved an electricity output of 40 billion kWh. The Company has been proactive in its coal sources for operations. This is a great achievement in assuring the safe electricity production associated with the environmental protection of all staff and employees of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Le Tuan Phong - Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province recognized and highly appreciated the determination and efforts of Power Generation Corporation 3, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company and other related units that have greatly contributed to the project completion. He also requested Power Generation Corporation 3, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company to guarantee the safe operation of the Project, ensuring the stable power supply for the National Grid, contributing to ensure employment and improving employees’ life; and continuing to strictly and fully implement environmental protection requirements, especially slag areas, material input terminals and factory areas.

In addition to congratulations, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company (under EVNGENCO 3) has completed the entire Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant Project and reached the electricity output of 40 billion kWh, Mr. Duong Quang Thanh - Chairman of the Members’ Council of Vietnam Electricity acknowledged that from the date of putting into operation, unit plants of Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant have enhanced its designed capacity, promptly supplemented the short output of the Grid in dry seasons of the past years, significantly contributed to the economic operation of the National Grid. At the same time, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company is proposed to continue to perform successfully the operation, safe and efficient electricity generation, promoting the application of the 4.0 technology for operation, production etc., since then contributing high electricity outputs for the National Grid. Mr. Duong Quang Thanh desired that leaders of the Province, People's Council, People's Committee and other levels and sectors of Binh Thuan Province would continue to enact important policies for production activities of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company in particular and Vinh Tan Power Center in general in the coming time.
