In the first months of 2022, the power plants of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company operate in safety and stable state, responding well to the mobilization of the National Load Dispatch Centre, ensuring the production output and downstream water supply.

To actively perform the water storage for the downstream water supply plan in the dry season of 2022, since the end of 2021, Buon Kuop Hydropower Company has carried out both the electricity production and water storage for Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Reservoir. As of December 31st, 2021, the water level of Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Reservoir reached 487.4m, approximately the normal water rise level and 0.4m higher than the water level in the same period in 2020. As a result, in the first months of 2022, the Company has guaranteed the production output and downstream water supply.

Based on statistics, the Company’s total output by the end of March 15th, 2022 is 462 million kWh, of which the output in the first two months of 2022 is 389 million kWh, equal to 157% of the assigned plan and increasing by 7 % over the same period in 2021 (364 million kWh). The Company's plants have responded well to the mobilization of the National Load Dispatch, ensuring a safe and continuous power supply, especially during the peak days of the New Year 2022 and Lunar New Year.

Officials and employees of Buon Kuop Hydropower Plant are on duty to ensure production output and downstream water supply

During the first months of 2022, the downstream discharge water of Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Plant reaches a daily average level of 89m3/s (in the condition that the daily average water flow to the reservoir is only 63m3/s), higher than the requirements of the inter-reservoir operation procedures and ensure the correct implementation of the agreed contents of the Company's dry season water discharge plan with the locality (Krong No District, Dak Nong Province). Water flow changes are regularly updated on the Company's website http://buonkuop.vn:2016/pclb/qve.aspx for local authorities and related units to monitor.

To achieve the above-mentioned results, Buon Kuop Hydropower Company has implemented many measures to direct and urge the operation and repair at the plants, assuring that there are no incidents; operation forces are on duty 24/24 according to the assigned plans; repair forces are willing to support and solve any problems during the Tet holiday; planned repair and maintenance works are carefully prepared and successfully implemented measures to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the health of employees.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak Province, the industrial production index in the first two months of the year increased by 20.8% over the same period last year, focusing mainly on the manufacturing and processing industries. In which, hydropower, solar and wind power plants that have increased production outputs at the beginning of the year are the main reasons for the strong growth of the industrial production index in the first two months of the year.
