On October 23rd 2020, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO 3) and General Electric Group (GE) organized a ceremony to award a long-term service and material supply contract for Phu My 2.1 Thermal Power Plant and Phu My 4 Thermal Power Plant and signed a Memorandum of Understanding on training and offer of expert services.

Buon Kuop Hydropower Company has successfully studied and put into application the remote flood warning system instead of a siren warning system to help local people in downstream areas avoid unfortunate accidents, damages when storms and floods occur.
To enhance the publicity and transparency of environmental parameters to all local people, on August 15th, 2020, Mong Duong Thermal Power Company has put the electronic spreadsheet of environmental parameters into use. This electronic spreadsheet is mounted at the main gate of the Plant for easy easily monitor and supervision.
The Power Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO 3) has just officially received the EDGE Certification on Global Gender Equality (EDGE - Economic Dividends for Gender Equality), Grade ASSESS - This certification is designed by the EDGE Certified Foundation (Switzerland).
At 23:45 a.m. on July 31, 2020, after 31 days of downtime (from July 1st to July 31st, 2020), plant units of the Phu My 4 Thermal Power Plant were officially handed over to the National Load Dispatch Centre (A0) for putting into operation, after completing the overhaul as planned. This is the first time units have performed the repair of GT41 and ST43 plant units, 41 and 42 furnaces without the direct assistance of the GE’s manufacturing experts at the Site.
In the end-of-year months, the EVNGENCO 3 Power Service Company (EPS) performs many major repair projects for thermal power plants both inside and outside EVNGENCO 3. Most projects require intensive repair technology and manpower; therefore, experts in manufacturing and technical consultancy are requested to be present at the Site. During this period, the COVID-19 epidemic situation in the world and in the country was very complicated, so the mobilization of foreign experts to the Site faced many difficulties. To solve the quality guarantee problem and progress of major overhaul projects for thermal power plants, the EPS Company has “activated” solutions to provide high efficiency.
