With the experience of maintaining the safety of electricity generation from previous pandemic outbreaks, Vinh Tan Thermal Power has actively responded well when the local authorities detected a case of COVID-19 infection in the community on the evening of June 23, 2021. The company also implemented many meaningful activities, actively supporting the pandemic prevention and control of Binh Thuan province.

     Previously, from June 1, 2021, Vinh Tan Thermal Power organized a concentrated camp, accommodation and after-hours activities for the operation and repair team right in Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant with about 250 people in order to ensure absolute safety and avoid the risk of COVID-19 infection for employees of the Company. This work has been implemented more closely and expanded to include indirect labor force when new cases appear in Binh Thuan province, especially during the period of social distancing under the direction of the local authorities.
     Being fully prepared for pandemic prevention plans and measures, ready to respond in all situations before the appearance of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Company quickly implemented the quarantine measure, ensuring adequate equipment, facilities, necessities, food and living conditions for employees, ensuring absolute safety for the production. Until now, the health and daily activities of employees in the concentrated camp are good, the Company's electricity generation is always safe and continuous, meeting the mobilization of National Load Dispatch Centre, contributing to ensuring energy security, supplying enough electricity for production, economic development and pandemic prevention of the whole country, especially during the recent heat wave peaks.

     Promote the role and responsibility of enterprise in performing socio-political tasks for the community during the complicated development of the COVID-19 pandemic; Respond to the appeal letter "All people unite, do their best to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic" dated May 31, 2021 of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thuan province, Vinh Tan Thermal Power donated 300 million VND in The Vaccine Fund for COVID-19 Prevention of Binh Thuan Province through the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; contribute money, necessities and medical supplies to the Center for Disease Control of Binh Thuan province, accompany the doctors and medical staff of the Center in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the province; donate more than 02 tons of rice to 3 areas implementing a narrow blockade order in Lac Tri village, Phu Lac commune, Tuy Phong district....

     By the end of June 2021, the total amount of money that Vinh Tan Thermal Power has contributed and donated for COVID-19 prevention and control activities in Binh Thuan province is nearly 450 million VND. Currently, the Company is trying its best, striving to continuously perform well the dual task, while ensuring safe - continuous - economic electricity generation, ensuring good environmental management, and actively implementing COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, social security to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country and Binh Thuan province.
