In order to ensure efficient electricity production during the peak of the dry season in 2023 for Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company (a subsidiary of EVNGenco3) and contribute to meeting the increased demand for electricity in the National Power System, on May 26, 2023, Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the parent company, along with the Deputy General Directors and leaders of various departments, held a working meeting with the leadership and representatives of departments and workshops at Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company. 

In order to ensure efficient electricity production during the peak of the dry season in 2023 for Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company (a subsidiary of EVNGENCO3) and contribute to meeting the increased demand for electricity in the National Power System, on May 26, 2023, Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the parent company, along with the Deputy General Directors and leaders of various departments, held a working meeting with the leadership and representatives of departments and workshops at Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company. 

Mr. Thien Thanh Son - Director of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company reported on the electricity 

During the meeting, Mr. Thien Thanh Son, the Director of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company, presented a report on the company's electricity production status. He discussed the business performance, initiatives to reduce heat loss and self-consumption, as well as the management of ash and slag during the initial months of 2023. As of May 25, 2023, Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant has generated a total of 3.28 billion kWh of electricity, which corresponds to 76.6% of the six-month plan for the early dry season of 2023 and approximately 41.5% of EVNGENCO3's annual target. 

The cumulative electricity output since the commissioning of Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant has reached 57.625 billion kWh. The company is striving to achieve a production volume of 60 billion kWh by August 2023 as part of the competition initiated by the parent company. 

The company's management also reported on the coal supply plan, which has been agreed upon with the Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation (TKV) and the Northeast Corporation, as well as the supply plans from other suppliers. These plans ensure sufficient coal supply to support high electricity generation during the months of May, June, and July 2023. The projected coal inventory at Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant by the end of May 2023 is estimated to be around 200,000 tons, exceeding the minimum inventory requirement for June 2023. The company remains committed to maintaining and enhancing environmental protection measures, particularly in implementing effective strategies for ash and slag consumption, aiming to utilize approximately 1 million tons of ash and slag at the slag yard in 2023. 

Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNGENCO3, has instructed Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company to implement proactive solutions to ensure efficient operation and maintain stable electricity production to fulfill the assigned plans. 

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNGENCO3, highly appreciated the efforts of the employees of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company and the achieved production and business results during the past period, especially in the early months of 2023 when the electricity supply situation faced difficulties. The appearance and working environment within the plant and its surroundings have shown positive changes, demonstrating the outstanding efforts of the unit in ensuring a green, clean, and beautiful environment. 

To ensure electricity generation according to the mobilization method of the National Power System Operator during the three peak months of the dry season from now until July 2023, the Chairman of the Board of Directors requested the company to strengthen the deployment of standby personnel to promptly handle any incidents. This includes developing contingency plans, increasing inspection and control measures, and preparing equipment and materials to maximize production efficiency, maintenance, and repair work while ensuring the highest availability of power units. 

The company needs to be more proactive in implementing heat loss reduction solutions for the power units and ensuring sufficient coal reserves in all situations. The gradual increase in coal inventory is essential to guarantee a continuous supply for electricity production. Additionally, efforts should be made to promote electricity conservation and efficient usage at workplaces, operational management areas, and households through active promotion and implementation. 

Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNGENCO3, along with the delegation, visited to inspect the coal inventory situation at Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant. 

In addition, the leadership of EVNGENCO3 also emphasized the need for the unit to establish long-term orientation and plans in investment activities, improve system equipment, and coordinate with EPS Company to enhance the quality of maintenance and repair work. They also stressed the importance of intensifying efforts in ash and slag utilization and environmental protection to contribute to the fulfillment of assigned tasks in the upcoming period. 

The delegation from the company presented gifts to the employees of the company. 

On this occasion, the delegation from the company visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to the workers working at the power plant. This is one of the meaningful activities during the Workers' Month in 2023, serving as a source of encouragement to motivate the employees of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company to work diligently and strive to excellently fulfill their assigned tasks.
