Occupational safety, fire and explosion prevention, and security at the units were also maintained.

The total power output of the units accounted for by the EVNGENCO3 Corporation during the Lunar New Year holiday (from January 20 to January 26, 2023) was 235.46 million kWh, of which the output of thermal power plants reached 196.18 million kWh, accounting for about 83% of the corporation's total power output, while the output of hydroelectric power plants reached 39.29 million kWh, accounting for 17%. At times, during peak hours, the total capacity of the power plants under the corporation transmitted to the national grid reached 1,100 MW, accounting for about 4.4% of the total system load.

In order to ensure electricity supply during the 2023 Lunar New Year holiday, power plants under EVNGENCO3 have proactively reviewed their work on maintaining security and order, fire and explosion prevention, production safety, and arranged for leaders to be on duty. They have organized inspections and dealt with any abnormalities, arranged for staffing for continuous operation and maintenance, ensured 24/7 readiness, and increased monitoring and control to ensure environmental management at power plants.
Especially at the Mong Duong Thermal Power Company, EPS company employees have carried out repairs on the S2 unit throughout the Lunar New Year to ensure electricity supply during the 2023 dry season. With a total volume of over 130 items of work and more than 250 people mobilized, maintenance work began on January 19, 2023 (the 28th day of the lunar calendar's last month) and ended on January 29, 2023 (the 8th day of the Lunar New Year). The focus of the work was on inspecting the furnace pipes (which accounted for a large volume of work and determined the schedule) and repairing system defects in the fuel and maintenance of the stagnant tanks to increase unit efficiency.
To encourage and motivate employees to work during the Lunar New Year, the leadership of EVNGENCO3 and the Trade Union, along with other units, visited and presented gifts and New Year's wishes directly to the staff at the following units: Buon Kuop Hydroelectric Company, Mong Duong Thermal Power Company, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company, Phu My Thermal Power Company, EPS Company, Ninh Binh Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, Ba Ria Thermal Power Joint Stock Company, and Se San 3A Investment and Development Electricity Company.

According to data from the National Power System Dispatching Center, electricity consumption across the country during the Lunar New Year holiday of the year of the Cat 2023 decreased by 30.3% compared to the regular days of the week before the holiday. Meanwhile, the average daily electricity consumption during the Cat year holiday was also lower than during the Tiger year holiday in 2022 by about 9.2%.
