During a working trip to Binh Thuan on the afternoon of February 22, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Committee, and the delegation visited and worked with Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company and Vinh Tan International Port in Tuy Phong district.

During a working trip to Binh Thuan on the afternoon of February 22, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Committee, and the delegation visited and worked with Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company and Vinh Tan International Port in Tuy Phong district.

Accompanying comrade Nghia on the visit and work with the two enterprises in Tuy Phong were comrades Duong Van An - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Doan Anh Dung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of provincial departments and agencies.

At the meetings, company representatives reported on the production situation, environmental protection, social security, and made suggestions on reducing the amount of fly ash generated during operation and expanding production scale. Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company alone produced 6.76 billion kWh of electricity (reaching 100.42% of the annual plan for 2022). At Vinh Tan Thermal Power Plant 2, the annual demand for coal consumption is from 3.5 to 4.5 million tons. Currently, the stored fly ash at the waste site of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Plant 2 is about 7.9 million tons, and the capacity of the ash dump is 8.6 million tons. As for Vinh Tan International Port, in the past year, it has received more than 400 ships, with a total throughput of 1,257,000 tons. In 2023, the port aims to reach a throughput of 1,500 tons with revenue of around 100 billion VND.

Visit and work at Vinh Tan International Port

The provincial leaders also reported and clarified issues related to the business proposals and issues that the Central Propaganda Committee is concerned about, especially state management, support for production and business activities of each enterprise. Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Propaganda Committee highly appreciated the responsibility and active support of the provincial leaders for the operation of the enterprises. At the same time, he recognized the efforts of the enterprises in production and business activities and ensuring social welfare.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia also noted that in the operation process, it is necessary to decisively and regularly carry out environmental protection work, ensuring sustainability and long-term stability. In parallel, absolute safety in electricity and maintaining public order must be ensured, while continuously improving technical equipment and proactively applying scientific and technological achievements to the production and business process.

During the working visit, the delegation of the Central Propaganda Committee also visited the beautiful scenery at Bau Trang tourist area, Bac Binh district. Prior to that, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia and the members of the working delegation had attended and directed many important contents at the conference to review 10 years of implementing Resolution 8 of the Central Committee (11th term) and Action Program No. 26 of the Provincial Party Committee (12th term) on the Strategy for Safeguarding the Homeland in the new situation.
