On March 29th, 2023, at Vinh Tan 2 Thermal Power Plant, Vinh Tan Commune, Tuy Phong District, Binh Thuan Province, the Launching Ceremony of “Tree Planting Festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho” is organized.
The Ceremony is launched by Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company according to the Prime Minister's Directive to plant and take care of 1 billion green trees to enhance the awareness of employees with regard to the role and meaning of tree planting and protection of our ecological environment, contributing to disaster mitigation and response to climate change.
Participants of the Launching Ceremony include Mr. Thien Thanh Son - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company, Mr. Vang Thanh Hung - Chairman of the Trade Union, Deputy Director of the Company and other employees, Youth Union members of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Mr. Thien Thanh Son - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company said that “The Company will continue to plant trees, take care and grow trees planted before to increase the greening areas in and out of the Plant, developing green and fresh spaces and protecting our green - clean - beautiful ecological environment”.
At the Launching Ceremony, Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company has planted more than 300 new poplar and coconut trees in the Plant campus. These trees were selected to grow well under the soil and climate conditions in Vinh Tan Commune.

Since the date of establishment of the Plant, the “Tree Planting Festival” movement has always been regularly organized by Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company, employees and staff have actively planted many trees to create beautiful landscapes, making the Plant’s campus, and surrounding areas as well as the Management, Operation and Repair Area of the Vinh Tan Thermal Power Plant. Up to now, the Company has planted more than 13,000 trees, 108,000 m2 of ornamental grass and over 23 hectares of campus area has been greened mainly with drought-resistant types of plants.
