On March 14, 2024, representatives from the Power Generation Corporation 3 - Joint Stock Company (EVNGenco3) and the Ninh Binh Thermal Power Joint Stock Company convened a working session with Wartsila Group (Finland). The meeting aimed to discuss Wartsila's proposal for a flexible power plant project in Ninh Binh province.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy General Director from the Power Generation Corporation 3 - Joint Stock Company (EVNGENCO3), and representatives from the Corporation’s Boards. Besides, Mr. Trinh Van Doan - General Director of Ninh Binh Thermal Power Joint Stock Company.

On behalf of Waetsila Group, there were Mr. Håkan Agnevall - Group CEO and other members of the delegation included Mr. Frederic Carron - Vice President in charge of Middle East & Asia, Mr. Nicolas Leong - Regional Director of North Asia & Southeast Asia, and Mr. Pham Minh Thanh - Country Director of Wartsila in Vietnam.

 

EVNGENCO3 leaders had high expectations for the Flexible Power Plant project in Ninh Binh province

In terms of proposing the development direction for the Flexible Power Plant Project in Ninh Binh, this project is set to replace the existing Ninh Binh Thermal Power Plant. This transition would ensure a continual and reliable electricity supply to the Northern region while prioritizing the workforce through job retention efforts.
