On March 27, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City, the EVNGENCO3 (EPS) Power Services and Hiep Phuoc Power Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a contract to supply maintenance, repair and operation services for the Hiep Phuoc power plant phase 1 with a capacity of 1200 MW.
Attending the signing ceremony, representing the EVNGENCO3 were Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Van Danh - General Director of the Corporation and members of the Executive Board and leaders of the Corporation. Representing Hiep Phuoc Power Co., Ltd. were Mr. Le Van Tam - Chairman of the Company, Mr. Pham Hong Tien - General Director of the Company. EPS representatives included Mr. Truong Van Phuong - Director of the Company, Deputy Directors of the Company, and representatives of the departments and workshops of EPS.

According to the contract signed, EPS Company will collaborate with Hiep Phuoc Electricity Co., Ltd. to carry out regular and emergency maintenance and provide high-quality operation personnel for Phase 1 of the Hiep Phuoc power plant project, which uses mixed cycle LNG gas turbine technology with a total capacity of 1,200 MW. The contract implementation period is 12 years.
EPS Company is a brand established and developed by Electricity Generation Corporation 3 (EVNGENCO3) on the basis of 25 years of experience in operation and maintenance of large-capacity power plants. Currently, EPS is one of the leading units in Vietnam responsible for managing operations and centralized maintenance and repair of gas-fired, coal-fired, and solar power plants. On average, EPS carries out 15 major repair projects per year with a total value of over VND 1,300 billion.

Earlier, in May 2022, EPS Company carried out the overhaul of three existing steam turbine units at the Hiep Phuoc power plant, successfully coordinated the processing of technical items such as bearing machining, oil injection, and replacement of two intermediate-pressure turbine blades.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dinh Quoc Lam - Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNGENCO3 expressed his confidence: "Developing maintenance and operation services for power plants is the strategic development direction of EVNGENCO3 in the future. Today's contract signing ceremony is an affirmation and promise to expand the cooperative relationship between EPS and EVNGENCO3 in general with Hiep Phuoc. In addition, the 12-year contract period is an important factor to ensure stability and improve the quality of repair and operation of the Hiep Phuoc power plant". The leaders of the EVNGENCO3 also requested EPS to urgently concentrate their resources, personnel, equipment, and be ready with solutions to best implement the contents of the contract. At the same time, EVNGENCO3 will actively participate in supporting the parties to effectively implement the project's contents.
The cooperation between EPS and Hiep Phuoc Power Company marks an important turning point in the development journey for both parties. For EPS, this is an opportunity to expand and improve the quality of services provided to customers, enhance its position in the market of maintenance, repair, and operation of power plants. This event is even more significant as the contract signing coincides with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the EVNGENCO3.
