In the first six months of 2023, Buon Kuop Hydropower Company produced 915.1 million kWh of electricity, achieving 101.6% of the electricity production target set for the 6 dry months competition initiative, and fulfilling the economic and technical targets assigned by EVNGenco3.

By actively storing water at the end of 2022 and maintaining the machines in a ready and safe operational state, during the first six months of 2023, Buon Kuop Hydropower Company implemented optimal operational plans based on the water inflow to ensure safe and efficient electricity production. Additionally, they ensured the required water release according to the cascade operation process, as well as increased water supply to meet the needs of local residents and agricultural activities in the downstream area. 

Buon Kuop Hydropower Company has planned and successfully implemented the annual theme of "Practice thrift and combat waste," maintaining stable, reliable, and efficient operation of its generating units. Economic and technical indicators such as availability factor, self-use ratio, shutdown due to incidents, and maintenance shutdown rate have all met the assigned targets according to the plan. 

To supply water to the downstream area, the company strictly applies the water discharge operation regime to maintain a minimum flow after the dam and operates with scheduled time and total discharge flow in accordance with the cascade operation process on the Srepok River basin. This ensures the water supply for the pumping stations along the downstream of the Krong Nô and Krong Ana rivers, serving the needs of daily life and production in the downstream districts and power plants, creating conditions for diversifying crops and transforming the agricultural production structure. This effort contributes to environmental protection and disaster prevention for the downstream area.

The company's employees are a skilled workforce of engineers in electricity production activities 

One of the advantages of Buon Kuop Hydropower Company is its team of management, engineers, and workers who possess high professional qualifications, expertise, and extensive experience, having a deep understanding of the equipment's condition over the 14 years of operation of the generating units. Alongside this, the resolute guidance from the leadership and the unity and determination of the entire staff have ensured that the repair and maintenance work consistently achieves high-quality results and exceeds the set timelines. The company has successfully carried out the major overhaul of Unit H2 at Buon Tua Srah Hydropower Plant, meeting the planned schedule and putting the generating units into safe and stable operation, in line with the dispatching method of the National Power System Dispatch Center. This effort contributes to enhancing the stability of the power system, especially during the peak months of the dry season in 2023, and prepares for high exploitation during the upcoming rainy season. 

Buon Kuop Hydropower Company gives gifts to households in the twin villages of Buon Kiet Nghia and Buon Tua Sria 

Environmental protection and social welfare are also of special concern to Buon Kuop Hydropower Company. Through programs like "Tet Nhan Ai" and "Xuan Quy Mao," with the collaboration of local authorities, organizations, associations, and schools in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces, the company has contributed and provided support worth over 600 million VND. Additionally, they fulfilled their tax obligations to the State budget, with a total of 133.1 billion VND in the first six months of this year. 

The premises of Srepok 3 Hydropower Plant 

The company regularly organizes sanitation activities and improves the environment around the areas of the three power plants and office premises. They engage in planting new trees and taking care of previously planted ones. So far, the company has planted more than 70,000 trees in the project areas of Buon Tua Srah, Buon Kuop, and Srepok 3 Hydropower Plants.
